To enroll in a doctoral study, the student must have obtained a master’s degree in the same field of specialization from one of the recognized universities, or an equivalent degree from the Supreme Council of Universities.
Approval of the student’s employer for his enrollment to obtain a doctorate, as well as on the specialization branch. The approval of the employer is required for the student to sing the full-time necessary throughout the study period.
The student must submit an application including all the required documents in the name of Prof. Dr. Dean of the college within the period stipulated in the regulations. As for the expatriates, the rules in force by the regulations of the university's expatriate management are applied.
Obtaining a doctorate degree requires studying the credit hours stipulated in the regulations, with success in all courses with a grade of (C) at least, obtaining a cumulative average of no less than (2.44), and conducting academic and applied research through an integrated thesis containing a new scientific addition, estimated at Equivalent to (30) credit hours.
The minimum degree for obtaining the degree is three years and the maximum is not more than four years, with the exception of the specialization of oral and maxillofacial surgery, and the maximum limit for awarding the degree is five years.
Passing the English language proficiency exam as a university requirement to register for the degree, the local TOEFL with at least five hundred (500) degrees or its equivalent (IELET) with at least seven (7) degrees, and the validity of this certificate is for a calendar year during which the student applies for enrollment in the degree . For international students, an English language proficiency certificate may be submitted within one year of enrollment for the degree.
Approval of the concerned department council, and the registration is considered from the date of the college council’s approval of the final nomination for departments in accordance with the admission system approved by the college council.
Payment of tuition fees, training expenses, and equipment consumption before the start of the study or according to the specified and announced date in the college, with the exception of Egyptian and foreign scholarship students, and the payment is for them during the academic year and before entering the examination.
Teaching assistants at the faculty, as well as employees of Ain Shams University hospitals, or whoever is decided to be exempted in whole or in part by the faculty or university council in accordance with their respective agreements in this regard are exempted from tuition fees.
The application for doctoral enrollment is during January, February and March of each year.
