This course, "Earth and Space Science," offers a comprehensive exploration of our planet and the cosmos. Beginning with an Introduction to Earth and Space Science, we delve into the Earth's internal architecture, studying Plate Tectonics and Earth's layers. Moving on, we investigate Plate Boundaries and various rock types, including Igneous, Sedimentary, and Metamorphic rocks, comprehensively covering their compositions and formations. Crystallography is explored, detailing crystal types, structures, and systems. The course extends to the study of minerals, their physical properties, and concludes by venturing beyond Earth to understand our Solar System, including planets, moons, and celestial phenomena. Through this journey, students will gain a deep understanding of the geological and astronomical marvels that shape our world and the cosmos.
