Application Requirements

Applicants for admission to the General Diploma of Teacher Preparation in Arts must fulfill the following criteria:

  • The student must have a Bachelor’s degree in Arts and Education awarded by the Colleges of Education in the Arab Republic of Egypt, or an equivalent degree from the Supreme Council of Universities.
  • No more than five years have passed since he obtained his first university degree (Bachelor).
  • The student must have obtained at least a good grade in the first university degree.
  • To commit at least one day every week to studying and to produce a written acknowledgement.
  • A graduate student may not register for more than one higher university diploma at a time without the agreement of the Council of Graduate Studies and Research, which is based on the approval of the College Council and the opinion of the appropriate departmental councils.
  • Teaching assistants may not register in higher education to obtain a university degree in a field other than their departments' specialization unless the president of the university decides to do so after the Council of Graduate Studies and Research approves a proposal from the College Council and the relevant department councils weigh in.
