Applicants for admission to the General Diploma of Teacher Preparation in Science must fulfill the following criteria:
The student must have a Bachelor’s degree in Science and Education awarded by the Colleges of Education in the Arab Republic of Egypt, or an equivalent degree accepted by the Supreme Council of Universities.
No more than five years have passed since he obtained his first university degree (Bachelor).
The student must have received at least a good grade in the first university degree
To commit at least one day every week to studying and to produce a written acknowledgement thereof.
A graduate student may not register for more than one higher university diploma at a time without the agreement of the Council of Graduate Studies and Research, which is based on the approval of the College Council and the opinion of the appropriate departmental councils.
Teaching assistants may not register in higher education to obtain a university degree in a field other than their departments' specialization unless the president of the university decides to do so after the Council of Graduate Studies and Research approves a proposal from the College Council and the relevant department councils weigh in.
