Application Requirements

In order for students to obtain a diploma in environmental sciences, it is required that:

  • He must hold a bachelor’s or BA from an Egyptian university, or an equivalent degree from another recognized scientific institute from the university, provided that he is registered in the scientific department corresponding to the first university degree, with the exception of the Department of Educational Sciences and Environmental Media; Students who have a bachelor’s or bachelor’s degree from an Egyptian university or an equivalent degree from another scientific institute recognized by the university are accepted in all disciplines to study the diploma.
  • The student submits the approval of the employer to facilitate attendance of lectures and carry out the necessary scientific research.
  • The Faculty council determines the number of students accepted for enrollment in the diploma for each department of the Faculty at the beginning of each academic year.
  • The duration of study for the Diploma in Environmental Sciences is a university year that consists of two semesters (each of 15 weeks), each of which ends with an exam. The number of units for each course ranges from two to three theoretical hours per week. A theoretical hour may be converted into two hours of practical training for any course based on A request from the department council and the approval of the Faculty council.
  • The study in the first semester is general for all majors, Table No. (1). Then, students are distributed in the second semester according to their majors in the first university degree to the scientific departments of the Faculty.
  • A written examination is held for academic courses at the end of each semester, and the duration of each written examination is two hours. After the approval of the department council and the approval of the Faculty council, a maximum of 20% of the final grade for each course may be allocated for the course of the year at the request of the subject professor and the approval of the department council.
  • The student passes the environmental applications course, whose topics are determined by the Faculty Council.
