This Drama and Shakespeare course is mainly intended to cast light on the Renaissance drama (bet. 14th &17th centuries) and the Restoration period (return of Charles II in 1660 and afterwards). It focuses on examining & criticizing plays by prominent playwrights of these periods such as William Shakespeare (1564-1616) ,Christopher Marlowe (1564- 1593), and Ben Jonson (1572-1637). It also acquaints students with some basic dramatic terms.
