Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy examines the evolutionary history of vertebrate morphology with a primary focus on structure-function relationships. Lectures will trace the evolutionary origin of vertebrates through the vast diversity of animals living today. Emphasis will be placed on the analysis of similarities and differences across groups using a systems based approach to assess the significance of adaptations.
