Masters

  • For a student to register for a master’s degree in geophysics, he must have a Bachelor of Science (general or special) in geophysics, with a general grade of at least “good” and a grade of “good” in the specialty subject.

Diplomas

1)    Diploma in applied geophysics
  • To enroll in the Applied Geophysics Diploma, the student must have a Bachelor of Science in geology (general or special) or in geology (general or special).
2)    Diploma in earthquake sciences
  • A student must have a Bachelor of Science in Geology (general or special), or in Geophysics (general or special), or a Bachelor of Science in Physics (general or private), and those who hold a Bachelor of Civil Engineering must pass one or more course exams. Of the courses approved by the relevant department council as supplementary courses for these students.

PhD

  • To have a master's degree in science from an Egyptian university, or an equivalent degree from another institute recognized by the university.
  • To carry out innovative research on a subject approved by the College Council for a period of at least two years from the date of the council’s approval of registration under the supervision of one of the professors or assistant professors, and one of the teachers in the department may participate in the supervision.
