The purpose of this course is to introduce the students to the literary genre of drama. This is done through studying some important literary dramatic terms. These terms are applied through the study of one play which is:
A Doll's House by (Henrik Ibsen)

IsA we’ll discuss the following:
1- the structure of the English language (words, phrases, clauses, sentences)
2- word classes (nouns, verbs, determiners, adjectives, prepositions, conjunctions, pronouns, and adverbs)
3- phrases (noun, verb, adjective, adverb, and prepositional phrases)
4- grammatical functions (subjects, predicates, predicators, objects, complements and adjuncts)
5- tree diagrams, phrase structure rules, and labeled bracketing
