The course presents the new Kingdom of ancient Egypt, that was a golden age of architecture and art. A variety of factors combined to make the New Kingdom one of the most creative cultures of the ancient world. The empire that the Pharaohs expanded through diplomacy, trade and war brought Egypt centuries of political stability and prosperity


This course includes topics such as: systems of state formation and governance, the general foundations of state formation, and contemporary societal issues and problems produced by the political, social and economic systems


The course contains information about the history of Greco- Roman Egypt, and includes the periods: Ptolemaic rule (332- 30 BC), Roman rule (30 BC- 380 AD), Byzantine rule (380- 641 AD).


The course contains topics such as: transportation, major transportation mode for International visitor, air transportation, road transportation, and railway transportation.


This cours includes information about the history of Islamic Egypt, starting from the Arab Conquest of Egypt, Egypt after the Arab Conquest, The Tulunid Dynasty, The Ikshide Dynasty, and finally Egypt in the Fatimid Dynasty


This course includes the topics: stones, woodwork, metal work, pottery and Earthenware, textiles, and glass work.


This course is an introductory survey of the archaeology ( including art and architecture) of ancient Egypt, ranging in time from Luxor temples on eastern and western side and tombs of valley of kings, queens, nobles and workers; and temples in front of High Dam from the ancient Egyptian era like Amada, Wadi el Sebouah and Beit el Wali.


Le but d’étudier cette matière est de donner une idée générale aux étudiants du cycle de la licence à propos des monuments islamiques  en Égypte dès l’époque des préfets jusqu’au début des Fatimides.
