This course aimed to provide concise coverage of the basic chemistry of carbohydrates. Also to ensure that students have the necessary knowledge and skills to compare between different anabolic and catabolic process of carbohydrates metabolism and to conclude the energy consumed and /or produced during each metabolic pathway. In the mean time the student able to predict differential diagnosis of diseases relate defects in carbohydrates metabolism.
