Application Requirements

Masters

• For a student to register for a master's degree in geology, he must have a Bachelor of Science (general or private) in geology.

Diplomas

1)    Diploma in mining geology

• Obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Geology (general or private).

2)    Petroleum geology

• Obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Geology (general or private).

3)    The geology of environmental impacts

• To enroll in this diploma, the applicant must have a Bachelor of Science in geology, geophysics, chemistry, engineering and agriculture (land department) and a Bachelor of Arts (Geography department) and the corresponding academic degrees awarded by girls’ colleges, as well as graduates of the Faculty of Archeology.

4)    Diploma in geology, analytical archeology

• The applicant must have a Bachelor of Science in Geology, Geophysics, Chemistry, Engineering and Agriculture (Land Department) and a Bachelor of Arts (Geography Department) and the corresponding academic degrees awarded by girls’ colleges, as well as graduates of the Faculty of Archeology.

PhD

• To have a master's degree in science from an Egyptian university, or an equivalent degree from another institute recognized by the university.
• To carry out innovative research on a subject approved by the College Council for a period of at least two years from the date of the council’s approval of registration under the supervision of one of the professors or assistant professors, and one of the teachers in the department may participate in the supervision.
