Aim of the Course: Upon completion of the course, the student should be able to: 

Combine basic sciences with practical work. The readings and lectures will provide a base of knowledge that students can use in the practical work. It also aims at providing adequate technical details for the construction of bridges and to overcome some problems encountered in clinical and laboratory work.

       a.8. List different techniques of oral hygiene measures applied for patients with fixed restorations

      b.3. Predict errors in technical steps in fixed prosthodontics.

Aim of the Course:

This clinical course is designed to prepare the student for a professional clinical attitude and give an-in-depth understanding and demonstrating a strong fundamentals in treatment planning and comprehensive restorative management of dental diseases using recent direct restoration.

Oral Radiology Course Specifications

Upon completion of the course Three modules should be finished and the student should be able to:

-     First module Recognize the biologic hazards of X-radiation, different effects of different types of radiation and how to protect the patient and operator from radiation hazards.

-     Second module Differentiate between different intraoral, extraoral, two-dimensional and three-dimensional imaging techniques and which technique that match the diagnostic needs.

-     Third module Diagnose the abnormalities which could appear on different images after exclusion of normal anatomical variations and reach a proper differential diagnosis for the patient problem
