First Semester

This course introduces students to the major literary movements, authors, and texts of the twentieth century. The course explores how writers responded to the rapid social, technological, and political changes of the modern era through innovative storytelling, poetry, and drama. Students will examine key themes such as urbanization, war, identity, and the search for meaning in a changing world, while developing essential skills in critical thinking, literary analysis, and academic writing.
