 To fully comprehend the basic science of different classes of materials used in dentistry, their properties including physical, chemical and mechanical properties, as well as principles of adhesion and bonding to dental substrates.

And To fully comprehend the different classes of materials used in dentistry, their composition, structure, properties, manipulation, setting mechanism, advantages, disadvantages, different applications as well as their recent trends.


Aim of the course:
Upon completion of the course, the student should be able to
  • Develop detailed information about permanent and deciduous teeth morphology.
  • Develop detailed information about teeth physiology, the alignment of teeth during rest and the functional jaw positions.
