About the Book
This book provides a structured introduction to the fundamental concepts and methods of ordinary differential equations. It is designed to help undergraduate students develop a clear understanding of differential equations and their role in modeling and solving mathematical problems.
The book covers the basic concepts of differential equations, including their classification and formation, followed by important analytical methods for solving first-order differential equations such as separable, linear, exact, homogeneous, and Bernoulli equations. It also introduces higher-order differential equations, homogeneous and non-homogeneous equations, Cauchy–Euler equations, and the method of variation of parameters.
Throughout the book, concepts are presented in a gradual and systematic manner, supported by worked examples and exercises. Emphasis is placed on understanding the underlying mathematical ideas, selecting appropriate solution techniques, and developing students’ analytical and problem-solving skills.
